You know, days are getting colder, it's getting darker earlier, real winter scenes in other words. BUT, that also means, time for those delicious winter dishes! What could be better than starting your evening with this Dutch pot with smoked sausage? Exactly, nothing.
This easy recipe will have you putting the dish on the table in no time, enjoy!
what do you need (4 pers):
- 1 kg floury potatoes
- 15 g butter
- 4 apples, green
- 2 medium-sized onions
- 25 g lemon juice
- 1 smoked sausage
- 75 ml semi-skimmed milk
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
How do you make it?
- Peel the potatoes, cut into equal pieces and coarsely chop the onions. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut the flesh into 1 cm pieces.
- Fry the apples briefly in the butter and deglaze with the lemon juice.
- Put the potatoes and onion in a pan and pour so much water over them that everything is just submerged. Add the salt and bring to the boil. Cook for about 20 minutes until tender.
- Heat the smoked sausage as described on the packet.
- Mash the potatoes and add the mustard and a splash of milk. Make a creamy puree. Mix in the apple pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the hot lightning with smoked sausage deliciously warm on the table.
