Lebanese Meatballs (Falafel) Recipe :
- Add the cooked chickpeas, onion, garlic and parsley to a food processor and blend until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour the chickpea mixture into a suitable bowl and add flour, egg, black pepper, ground coriander and salt. Stir well with a spoon.
- Cover the top of the mixture with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for about 1 hour.
- After resting, form small balls of the mixture the size of a walnut and roll them.
- Place the formed balls on a baking tray covered with plastic wrap.
- Continue to shape and roll the rest of the mixture in the same way.
- If you want to store the falafel in the freezer, you can leave them in the freezer for a few hours to freeze and then store them in a resealable bag. You can use this method to store the extra falafel or take them out and fry them when you need them.
- For the sauce, mix thick yoghurt, tahini, lemon juice and salt in a bowl until everything is well blended.
- It's time to deep-fry. Fry the falafel until nicely golden brown on the outside and use a slotted spoon to place them on a plate with kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
- The falafel is ready to serve. Enjoy your meal!
